Tangle is built on a 100% self-hosted infrastructure. Your data never leaves our private server (mytangle.ca).
1. No Third-Party Tracking
We do not use persistent cookies to track you. Instead, we use a server-side "Ghost ID" system. Every connection is assigned a 6-digit identifier for the duration of a session. This allows us to maintain app functionality without storing data on your physical device.
2. Deep Activity Logging
To ensure the safety of our community and prevent illegal activity, logs are kept on all non-encrypted contents.
3. Data Retention & Archiving
Active Logs: Stored for 7 days in a high-security buffer.
Permanent Archive: Every week, logs are frozen into an append-only "Permanent Copy" for long-term legal and security audits.
5. Data Ownership
We do not sell, trade, or provide your data to AI training models, companies or advertising networks. Child Safety Policy:
